Orange Rili Shrimp
Orange Rili Shrimp feature vivid orange heads and tails separated by a translucent center section. This distinctive Rili pattern gives every aquarium a bright, high-contrast accent.
These live dwarf freshwater shrimp spend much of the day grazing on naturally occurring algae and biofilm. They thrive in a mature, stable aquarium with live plants, moss, wood, rockwork, and other sheltered areas. Supplement their natural grazing with a quality shrimp food as needed, taking care not to overfeed.
Pattern placement and color intensity naturally vary from shrimp to shrimp, making each group visually unique.
Choose from packs of 5, 10, 20, or 40 shrimp. Young adults are approximately 1/2 to 3/4 inch long when shipped. Standard packs are selected without a guaranteed male-to-female ratio.
The 10-shrimp breeder pack is selected to help start a colony and includes 7 females and 3 males.
Maintain stable water conditions and avoid sudden changes in temperature or chemistry. These peaceful shrimp do best with other small, non-aggressive aquarium inhabitants.
Axolotl note: Shrimp kept with axolotls may be eaten and are not guaranteed to remain permanent tank mates. Confirm that the aquarium conditions are appropriate for both species and provide plenty of hiding places.
