Condition the water, feed the cycle, and establish freshwater biological filtration. This three-product kit pairs an ammonia source with water conditioner and live starter bacteria for an empty aquarium.

What's included

  • Erase-Cl — 125 mL: chlorine and chloramine conditioner.
  • MicroBacter QuikCycl — 125 mL: ammonia-based nutrients for fishless cycling.
  • MicroBacter Start XLF — 125 mL: freshwater nitrifying bacteria.

Before you begin

QuikCycl is for an aquarium with no animals or live plants. Never add it to an occupied tank. Condition the water first, then follow the current QuikCycl and Start XLF labels together. Test pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate throughout cycling; do not add extra ammonia simply to chase a reading. Introduce an axolotl only after cycling is confirmed complete.

A test kit, aquarium, filter, and suitable biological media are required and sold separately. Cycling time varies. This freshwater kit does not include a maintenance bacterial product.
