People often ask how Axolotl Superstore got started. It grew from a fascination with these remarkable animals and a desire to give them the care they deserve.
Why We Started
As we learned more about axolotls, we saw too many owners receiving unhealthy animals, incomplete care information, or advice that made long-term success more difficult.
We believed there was a better way to raise, sell, and support axolotls.
What We Wanted to Do Differently
From the beginning, our goal was to build a business people could trust. That means focusing on:

- Responsible breeding practices
- Strong nutrition and careful daily care
- Honest customer education
- Support before and after a purchase
The Question That Guides Our Decisions
“Is this what’s best for the axolotl?”
That question influences how we care for animals, how we prepare them for new homes, and how we advise customers. Sometimes the right answer is telling someone to finish cycling an aquarium before bringing an axolotl home. Sometimes it is recommending a simpler or less expensive solution because it better fits the animal's needs.
We would rather earn long-term trust than make a quick sale.
Learning Never Stops
Axolotl care involves water chemistry, nutrition, genetics, breeding, disease prevention, biosecurity, and much more. We continue learning because good husbandry is never a finished project.
