Black Melanoid Axolotl
Black Melanoid axolotls are a striking dark-colored morph known for their rich black, charcoal, and deep gray coloration. Unlike wild type axolotls, Black Melanoids lack the shiny iridophore pigmentation that creates metallic or reflective speckling, giving them a darker, more uniform appearance. Their coloration can range from smoky gray to nearly solid black, with natural variations in shade, markings, and gill appearance making each axolotl unique. Our Black Melanoid axolotls are carefully raised and selected for health, appearance, and quality. They thrive in cool, clean freshwater aquariums and are an excellent choice for both new and experienced axolotl keepers. Select your preferred size above, from juvenile through adult male or female.

The store is amazing. The staff is friendly and so helpful! I’ve bought both of my axolotls from here and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Love the cleanliness of the storefront. Not to mention I love my axolotls, Bubbles and Onyx!
They came great! I ordered 2 but one is like 4X the size of the other one and all my shrimp were dead sadly when I got them
