Split mosaic axolotls are exceptionally uncommon and are known for dramatic contrasting color regions that can appear sharply divided or irregularly patched across the body. These patterns are unusual developmental outcomes, and each animal can look very different.
This listing may sell out quickly. If this specific split mosaic is unavailable, browse our current mosaic and split mosaic axolotls to see animals that are available now.
Split and mosaic patterns can involve visibly different pigment regions on the same animal. Appearance alone does not always reveal the exact developmental mechanism, so we avoid treating every mosaic pattern as a guaranteed genetic type.

Live axolotls ship only to eligible U.S. destinations Monday–Wednesday using available overnight service. We do not ship live axolotls internationally. Eligible overnight shipments are protected by our Live Arrival Guarantee. Mainland orders have a $40 flat-rate option; eligible live-animal orders of $150+ can select $25 shipping, and $250+ can select free shipping. Hawaii uses our separate Pet Depot route. Final options are shown at checkout.
