A plant bundle is most useful when its contents match your aquarium. Some packs emphasize colorful stems, others combine planting heights, and others bring together attached plants and habitat pieces for shrimp. Compare those differences before choosing by appearance alone.
Browse the current aquarium plant bundles, then use this guide to narrow the choices. These are general freshwater and shrimp aquarium products, rather than complete axolotl tank setups.
Compare the named plant bundles
| Bundle | Main idea | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Nature's Blueprint | Seven species arranged around foreground, midground and background planting. | Space for rooted growth and the conditions needed by the carpeting plants. |
| Crimson Current | Seven stem-plant species with contrasting colors and leaf shapes. | Lighting, trimming access and realistic expectations for red coloration. |
| Shrimp Sanctuary | Seven plant species combining attached plants and rooted growth. | Placement of mounts, planting space and your shrimp aquarium's conditions. |
| Hideaway Habitat | Planted wood, a moss bridge and cholla wood for shrimp and nano fish. | Hardscape footprint and openings suitable for your livestock. |
Nature's Blueprint: a layered freshwater layout
The listed assortment includes Monte Carlo, Staurogyne repens, Anubias nana, Anubias nana Golden, Cryptocoryne lucens, Ludwigia repens and Pogostemon stellatus Narrow Leaf. The mix gives you different leaf sizes and growth forms to arrange across the tank.
Plan the growing space before planting. Anubias rhizomes should remain exposed, while rooted plants need a suitable planting location. Dense carpeting depends on the aquarium's actual conditions; buying a bundle does not guarantee a carpet.
Crimson Current: compare color and maintenance needs
This pack is arranged around colorful stem growth. Use the current product page for the exact species list and supplier care guidance. Red and bronze tones can vary with lighting and growing conditions, so the listing photo is not a promise that every plant will retain the same color in your aquarium.
Leave enough access to trim taller stems and remove lower growth as needed. A carefully maintained background can be easier to manage than planting every stem closely together on arrival.
Shrimp Sanctuary and Hideaway Habitat serve different jobs
Shrimp Sanctuary is a mixed planting assortment. Hideaway Habitat adds more ready-positioned structure: one Christmas moss coconut-shell bridge, one Anubias on driftwood, one Java fern on driftwood and two 6-inch pieces of cholla wood in the base bundle.
Inspect natural materials before placement and choose positions that remain stable during cleaning. Small shrimp shelters are not automatically suitable hides for an axolotl. For an axolotl layout, start with our plant selection guide and individual listings.
Assorted variety packs: flexibility rather than a fixed species list
Aquarium Plant Variety Packs offer 5-, 10-, 20- and 40-plant options. The supplier selects plants across foreground, midground and background groups, and the species vary with availability.
Choose an assortment when you are comfortable adapting the layout to the plants supplied. Choose individual products when you need a particular species or a tightly controlled planting plan.
Check the quantity option before ordering
Named bundles may offer options such as “1 Plant Each,” “2 Plants Each,” or multiple complete bundles. Read the selected variant and included-items list together. Inventory and prices change, so this guide leaves current purchasing details to each product page.
Arrival and setup checklist
- Confirm the chosen plants' temperature and light needs fit the tank.
- Prepare a separate place to inspect and quarantine new plants.
- Remove shipping packaging, pots, wool and weights as appropriate.
- Plant roots, rhizomes and bulbs according to their different requirements.
- Keep room for filtration, surface access, animal movement and cleaning.
These plant bundles are supplied by Shrimpy Business and may arrive separately from animals or other store items. They do not include a cycled aquarium, livestock or all the equipment needed for a tank.
If you are shopping for water-care bottles instead of plants, compare our Axolotl Start Bundle, Fishless Cycling Kit and RO Water Kit. Those products address different stages of aquarium preparation.
