Subwassertang: Soft green growth for freshwater shrimp cover; position on hardscape or allow loose growth.
Süsswassertang or Subwassertang is popular aquarium plant option among hobbyists due to it's ease of care and providing hiding spots for freshwater shrimp.
This is by far, one of our favorite plants for a shrimp tank.
The versatility of Subwassertang makes it simple to mix things up in your personal hobbyist tank - attach it to hardscape, driftwood, or cholla wood, or let the Subwassertang aquarium plant float freely.
Beyond its ability to protect shrimplets and fish fry, Subwassertang can also help maintain high water quality.
This plant is grown here at Shrimpy Business in the USA! :)
Our Subwassertang are available in golf ball size and require low light.
Before adding to your aquarium
Remove the shipping packaging and any pot, planting wool, or weights as appropriate. Rinse and inspect the plant, and quarantine new plants separately before introduction. Trim growth regularly and remove loose or decaying material. Keep floating plants from covering the entire water surface.
Match temperature and lighting to the plant and your livestock. This listing is part of our general freshwater plant range; browse our axolotl plant selection for more focused options.
Shipping and natural variation
Supplied and shipped by Shrimpy Business through Shopify Collective. Plants may arrive separately from axolotls and other store items. Size, shape, and coloration vary naturally; choose the available size or portion shown in the product options.
