Salvinia Minima: Small floating fern for freshwater aquariums. Thin excess growth to keep surface areas open.

Salvinia Minima is a great addition to any shrimp tank. They maintain water quality by absorbing nitrates through their roots and also provide great coverage for shrimplets or other fish fry. They grow pretty quickly under high-lighted conditions and are a fast-growing beginner plant!

We sell them in golf ball size portion cups.

Skill Level: Easy

Light: Low Light

Before adding to your aquarium

Remove the shipping packaging and any pot, planting wool, or weights as appropriate. Rinse and inspect the plant, and quarantine new plants separately before introduction. Trim growth regularly and remove loose or decaying material. Keep floating plants from covering the entire water surface.

Match temperature and lighting to the plant and your livestock. This listing is part of our general freshwater plant range; browse our axolotl plant selection for more focused options.

Shipping and natural variation

Supplied and shipped by Shrimpy Business through Shopify Collective. Plants may arrive separately from axolotls and other store items. Size, shape, and coloration vary naturally; choose the available size or portion shown in the product options.
