Cryptocoryne Wendtii (Green): Ruffled green rooted crypt for low to medium light freshwater aquarium midgrounds.

Cryptocoryne Wendtii (Green) are one of the more popular Crypts and do not require CO2 and will do well in low to medium light aquariums. This crypt is a relatively slow growing plant and they propagate by sending out baby plants as runners. Crypt Wendtii (Green) is different from the red variant as it produces green, ruffled leaves. This Crypt is a medium-size crypt which makes it a great choice for a midground plant in any aquascape.

Before adding to your aquarium

Remove the shipping packaging and any pot, planting wool, or weights as appropriate. Rinse and inspect the plant, and quarantine new plants separately before introduction. Choose planting depth and substrate for the species. Keep rooted crowns and bulbs from being buried too deeply, and remove damaged leaves during establishment.

For an axolotl setup, maintain the animal’s cool-water conditions and gentle lighting. Growth may be slower. Choose planting materials appropriate for an amphibian aquarium. The general plant-growing suggestions above are not treatment instructions for axolotl tanks; avoid adding plant fertilizers or injected CO₂ to an axolotl setup without appropriate specialist guidance.
