The Banana Plant is a very popular plant in the hobby because they are easy to care for and can tolerate a wide range of water conditions. They do not require high light or CO2. It is best to place them on top of substrate and the bananas will send it's roots down. They do not need to be buried in substrate.

Before adding to your aquarium

Remove the shipping packaging and any pot, planting wool, or weights as appropriate. Rinse and inspect the plant, and quarantine new plants separately before introduction. Choose planting depth and substrate for the species. Keep rooted crowns and bulbs from being buried too deeply, and remove damaged leaves during establishment.
