Before adding to your aquarium

Remove the shipping packaging and any pot, planting wool, or weights as appropriate. Rinse and inspect the plant, and quarantine new plants separately before introduction. Keep the rhizome above the substrate. For attached plants, inspect the wood or rock and choose a stable position that suits your aquarium's inhabitants.

For an axolotl setup, maintain the animal’s cool-water conditions and gentle lighting. Growth may be slower. Choose planting materials appropriate for an amphibian aquarium. The general plant-growing suggestions above are not treatment instructions for axolotl tanks; avoid adding plant fertilizers or injected CO₂ to an axolotl setup without appropriate specialist guidance.
